Mole Control on the North Shore
At a glance: The mole digs underground galleries that deform the lawn: mounds of earth and raised tunnels. It feeds on worms and soil insects (not plants), but its tunnels damage the grass and roots. It is controlled by targeted trapping and by reducing what attracts it. Not to be confused with the field mouse, which attacks plants.
Mole tunnels disfigure the lawn
Mounds and galleries make the ground uneven and damage the roots. Targeted control restores your lawn.

Recognizing the presence of a mole
Conical mounds of earth (molehills) spread across the lawn, raised tunnels that make the ground spongy underfoot, and yellowing grass along the galleries. The mole lives underground and is rarely seen.
Mole or field mouse?
They are often confused. The mole eats worms and insects and digs tunnels; The field mouse (vole) attacks the roots, bark and vegetable garden. The treatment differs — see our page extermination of field mice.
How we intervene
We identify active galleries and carry out targeted trapping, the most effective method against moles. We also advise on soil management to reduce the factors that attract them.
Preventing moles
Reduce excessive lawn moisture and control the white grubs and soil insects that the mole feeds on: less food, fewer moles. Regular maintenance of the turf limits their installation.
